JEM Logics Inc. is an independent gemological, diamond assessment, and jewelry appraisal consulting firm located in Melville, NY, serving Long Island's Suffolk & Nassau counties. We provide advanced gemological services and fine jewelry appraisals for insurance coverage, estate/probate, equitable division, liquidation, expert witness, and fair market valuations. Our client list consists of private clients looking to insure their engagement rings and jewelry, to financial institutions, independent jewelers, attorneys, law enforcement and insurance companies. We maintain an advanced National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) Accredited Gemological Laboratory, with highly specialized equipment and all our appraisals conform to the USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) and the NAJA code of ethics and are considered qualified appraisals by the federal tax code 26 CFR §1.170A-17.
Our head gemologist appraiser is a highly trained professional who has completed their Graduate Gemologist certification from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA), and a Registered Gemologist Appraiser certification from the International School of Gemology (ISG), as well as earned the designation of Long Island’s only NAJA Certified Master Appraiser (CMA) in the science and methodology of jewelry appraising. He also received the designation of an Accredited Senior Gemologist by the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA). He is also considered a qualified appraiser by the IRS (IRS Definition of a Qualified Appraiser).
